M103: Current Timeline Report

The Current Timeline Report provides a visual production timeline and job-order progress tracking view within TUHUND. The report is designed to help organisations monitor production schedules, evaluate current production progress and identify delays or production backlogs across active job orders.

Unlike the Production Schedule Report, which focuses on planned and actual production quantities across phases, the Current Timeline Report provides a timeline-based representation of job-order progress and production activity over a selected reporting period.

The report can be accessed through:

Production → Reports → Current Timeline

Purpose of the Report

The report is used to monitor job-order timelines, analyse production progress and identify scheduling delays within active manufacturing operations.

It is commonly used by:

  • Production planners

  • Workshop supervisors

  • Factory managers

  • Operations teams

  • Management personnel

The report is especially useful for monitoring production status, identifying lagging job orders and evaluating schedule adherence across manufacturing workflows.

Report Interface

The report interface contains:

  • Organisation selection

  • Production-type filtering

  • Workshop filtering

  • Sorting controls

  • Date-range selection

  • Timeline-based production grid

The ENTIRE ORGANIZATION selector allows users to generate timeline views across accessible organisations, companies, factories or branches.

Filtering and Timeline Options

The Type selector supports filtering based on job-order categories and production types. Available options depend on the organisation's production configuration and may include production orders, sampling orders, internal consumption orders, job work orders and other organisation-specific production types.

The Workshop selector allows users to analyse timelines for specific workshops, departments or production units. Available workshops depend on the organisation’s production structure.

The Sort By selector supports multiple timeline-analysis perspectives including:

  • Job Number

  • Created Date

  • Start Date

  • Target Date

  • Closing Date

  • Description

  • Status

  • Total Cost

  • Total Value

The report also supports configurable date-range selection for reviewing both historical and future production schedules.

Report Structure

The report is displayed as a timeline-based production schedule grid.

Each row represents a job order while each column represents a reporting date within the selected timeline period.

Depending on system configuration, each job-order row may display:

  • Job Order Number

  • Customer Information

  • Production Description

  • Timeline Activity Indicators

  • Planned Production Periods

  • Actual Production Activity

  • Schedule Status Indicators

This structure allows organisations to quickly evaluate production progress across multiple job orders simultaneously.

Timeline Representation

The report uses colour-based indicators to visually represent production status and scheduling information.

Indicator

Description

Light Green

Date falls within the planned production period

Green

Planned production quantity exists for that date

Dark Green

Production activity exists for that date (actual production, rejection or wastage)

Red Line

Lag status; cumulative production is lower than cumulative planned production up to that date

Blue Vertical Line

Current date reference within the timeline

Multiple timeline indicators may appear during the same reporting period, allowing users to compare production plans against actual production activity.

Lag and Schedule Monitoring

The report supports production lag monitoring through visual lag indicators.

A lag condition occurs when cumulative production achieved up to a particular date is lower than cumulative production planned up to the same date.

This allows organisations to quickly identify:

  • Delayed job orders

  • Production bottlenecks

  • Scheduling issues

  • Manufacturing activities requiring corrective action

Drilldown Functionality

Job order numbers displayed within the report are clickable.

Selecting a job order opens the corresponding Job Order record, allowing users to access detailed production, customer, workflow and operational information associated with that order.

This functionality provides direct navigation from production monitoring activities to operational job-order management.

Data Representation

The report supports:

  • Production timeline monitoring

  • Job-order progress tracking

  • Production scheduling visibility

  • Lag analysis

  • Workshop-level production monitoring

  • Active production tracking

  • Schedule adherence analysis

Displayed information varies depending on the selected filters, workshops, production types and reporting period.

Summary

The Current Timeline Report provides a visual production timeline and job-order progress tracking view within TUHUND.

By combining timeline-based scheduling visibility, production activity monitoring, lag detection and direct job-order integration, the report enables organisations to monitor manufacturing progress, identify production delays and evaluate schedule adherence across operational workflows.
