What if we do not want to deduct salary for short attendance sometimes
Sometimes we need to make special case when boss tells us not to deduct salary for someone when he is absent. Can we do that without changing rules that we have set for attendance?
Yes, you can override leave deduction, irrespective of the policy, if you have access rights to do so. I have checked your account and you do have the required rights. When you are creating salary slips, which is an automated process. If all system-generated values are acceptable, then it is a one-click process. However, you have several options for an override. To override attendance, you have a link that says "Click here if you want to manually override payable days and working days." It is immediately under the leave deduction and attendance view table. Click on the link and it will activate two fields.
- Working Days
- Payable Days
The working days field is populated with the number of working days in the respective month. The value in this filed is very rarely altered as it is populated from the relevant calendar, which by the time of reaching the payroll stage, is already perfected. The "payable days" field is populated with the number of days for which the employee is to be paid. The default value is equal to Working days minus deductions. To override, you can simply change the value and save.
