We have enabled the "Hide Lower Price" setting for all the price groups we’ve created. Each price list consists of three levels: Lower Price, Pre-approved Price, and Higher Price.
However, the Lower Price is still visible to many users. Are we missing a configuration step, or is there something we might be doing wrong?
Could you please guide us on how to properly hide the Lower Price from unauthorized users?
Whatever is configured to be hidden in the system will be hidden from the users it is meant to be hidden from. Tuhund enforces robust security and access control mechanisms.
The key to understanding this issue lies in the definition of "unauthorized". If a user’s role or assigned task requires access to certain information, the system will automatically grant access—even if the data is set to be hidden in general settings. This ensures users can perform their responsibilities without restrictions.
In the case of lower-level prices, there is no direct security right that explicitly reveals them. Instead, access is granted based on the user’s responsibilities and system-determined requirements.
Users with the following access rights will inherently need to view all price levels, including the lower price:
-
SLM004 – Manage selling price of products at the enterprise level
-
SLA004 – Approve proforma invoices that exceed price limits or terms
-
SLA006 – Approve commercial invoices that exceed price limits or terms
-
SLM034 – Override price validation checks and offer any price
-
SLM046 – Download price lists in Excel format
-
SLM031 – Manage Price Lists
-
SLM032 – Raise Price Change Requests
-
SLM033 – Approve Price Change Requests (if included in Approvers List)
-
SLA002 – Approve quotations that exceed price limits or acceptable terms
Please verify if the users you intend to restrict from viewing the lower price have been assigned any of these rights. If they have, the system will intentionally show them the lower price as they cannot fulfill their duties without full visibility into pricing tiers.
If any of these rights were assigned unnecessarily, we recommend reviewing and removing them to enforce the intended restrictions.
