Please go to inventory. You will see journal button on top right of the screen. Please click that and you will go to stock journal list. Click on add button on top right. Select the branch, select the party if you are exchanging goods for a customer or vendor. If it is an internal change to rectify mistakes, leave the party fields blank. Select store and save. In the next slide you will see two sections. Top section is for Output. In this section add the items that will be removed from inventory. Bottom section is for input. In this section select the items that will be added to inventory in exchange. Please be careful about the rates and amounts. System will auto-populate all figures but you will have the option of manually editing input figures. Output figures are not editable because they are actual figures. You will not have the option to save the record till the figures do not match. Small variance, which is preset from the admin control module is allowed.
When you see the save button and have entered all the data, save the record and complete the process.
Limitation of stock journal is that it can be used within the same store. That means goods will be added to the stock of same store from which they are taken out. In case you want to move the goods to another store, you will have to create a delivery challan / goods movement receipt for that.
