Is there a way to add two additional columns to the items table in Purchase Orders? Both columns would contain manually entered information specific to each item.
The required columns are:
-
Special Instructions: To capture additional instructions or requirements related to the machine's specifications.
-
Dispatch Instructions: To capture specific instructions regarding the dispatch of the machine.
We would like users to enter this information directly against individual items while creating or editing a Purchase Order.
Is this possible through the existing customisation options in Tuhund?
Yes, Tuhund already supports this requirement without any customisation.
Users can add up to three dynamic columns to templates such as Purchase Orders, Quotations, Invoices and other supported transaction documents. The column headings are editable within each template, allowing users to define columns specific to that document. For example, a Purchase Order template can have columns for Special Instructions and Dispatch Instructions, while a Quotation template can use the same facility for entirely different purposes.
More than three dynamic columns can also be accommodated, if required, with assistance from the Tuhund support team.
It is worth clarifying that this does not constitute customisation. In Tuhund, customisation typically refers to developing functionality that does not already exist in the product for a specific customer's requirements. Configuring or enabling existing features is not considered customisation.
Another useful feature is automatic column visibility. These columns, like several other columns in Tuhund, have an auto-hide option enabled by default. A column appears on the page and in the generated PDF only when at least one item contains data in that column. Therefore, if these columns are not relevant to a particular transaction, users do not need to worry about empty columns appearing in their documents. They can also disable auto-hide if they prefer the columns to remain visible.
This provides the flexibility to adapt document layouts to different business requirements without requiring customer-specific development.
Our support team will get in touch with you shortly to understand your requirements in more detail and assist you in enabling and configuring these columns as desired.
